Fender Reflecting Pool Dual Delay & Reverb Pedal. The Fender Reflecting Pool Dual Delay & Reverb Pedal is a comprehensive 2 in 1 pedal with 18 on board effects variations including nine reverbs (including hall, room and shimmer) and nine delays (including digital, analogue and tape).
The delay and reverb can be used independently or together and there's also stereo ins & outs, trails or true bypass and tap tempo. The pedal essentially houses expanded versions of their Mirror Image Delay and Marine Layer Reverb pedals in one housing. The delay side has a Type switch which selects between digital, analogue and tape echo delays and a three position Quality switch which degrades the sound of the repeats in progressive increments, this is particularly effective with analogue and tape delays to emulate original pedals that naturally degrade over time (get dark bucket brigade sounds with analogue delay and realistic wow and flutter with tape delay). The Time knob set delay time from 10 ms to 1 second and while holding down the Tap footswitch it will select the rhythmic subdivisions of the delay between quarter, dotted eighth, eighth, dotted sixteenth, sixteenth, half and triplet eight notes.
The Feedback knob controls the number of delay repeats (how long the delay takes to decay). The Mix knob blends between the main delay and a secondary delay that can be layered underneath the first delay (100 % anticlockwise is just the main delay and 100 % clockwise is just the secondary delay) this is combined with the Subd (subdivision) switch which controls the delay time of the secondary delay as a subdivision of the main delay (the 50 % setting gives the secondary delay an 8th note division relative to a quarter note, 66 % gives a quarter note triplet relative to a quarter note and 75 % gives a dotted 8th note relative to a quarter note). The Level knob controls the volume of the delay relative to the dry signal (wet/dry mix). The Rate knob controls the modulation speed and the Depth knob controls the modulation depth. The reverb side has a Type switch which selects between hall, room and'special' reverb types and a Variation switch which for hall and room selects the size of the space (small, medium or large hall/room) and for special it selects between shimmer, gated/reverse and modulated reverb types. The Decay knob adjusts the reverb decay time (length of the reverb signal), the Damp knob affects the tone of the reverb decay attenuating the high frequencies to darken the reverb tail as it fades out. The Extra knob works differently depending on the reverb type, for hall and room it works like the damp knob but for low frequencies, cutting the amount of bass in the reverb tail as you turn it up, for shimmer it controls the amount of successive octaves that are added to the reverb as it decays, for gated/reverse it controls the reverb tail shape, at 100 % anticlockwise the shape is a typical decaying taper, at noon produces a gated shape cutting off the reverb abruptly and at 100 % clockwise produces reverse reverb and for modulated it controls reverb modulation depth (modulation rate fixed at 0.1 Hz). The Level knob controls the volume of the reverb relative to the dry signal (wet/dry mix). The Fender Reflecting Pool Dual Delay & Reverb Pedal has stereo in and output jacks suitable for guitars, keyboards and other instruments, the Bypass switch on the top side selects between true bypass and buffered bypass for trails (delay and reverb continues after the pedal is switched off), there is an input jack to connect an external tap tempo footswitch and a USB port for any firmware updates and it features LED lit knobs that make viewing the current settings very easy in a dark environment (switchable on/off). Fender Reflecting Pool Dual Delay & Reverb Pedal with independent footswitches for each side. 9 Reverbs including hall, room and shimmer and 9 delays including digital, analogue and tape.
Stereo input and output jacks. Tap tempo footswitch and an input jack for connecting an external tap tempo footswitch. Bypass switch selects between true bypass and buffered bypass (trails continue in buffered bypass).
Delay Quality switch degrades the repeats in progressive increments (great for analogue and tape). Time knob set delay time from 10 ms to 1 second. Select between 7 delay subdivisions including 1/4 notes, dotted 1/8ths and triplet 1/8ths. Feedback knob controls how long the delay takes to decay.
Mix knob blends between the main delay and a secondary delay that can be layered underneath. Subd switch controls the delay time of the secondary delay as a subdivision of the main delay. Level knob controls the volume of the delay relative to the dry signal (wet/dry mix). Rate knob controls the modulation speed. Depth knob controls the modulation depth.
Reverb Variation switch selects the size of the space for hall and room or a reverb type for special. Decay knob controls the length of the reverb trail. Damp knob affects the tone of the reverb attenuating high frequencies to darken the tail. Extra knob affects the tone of the hall and room reverb attenuating bass frequencies. Extra knob controls number of shimmer octaves, shape of gated reverb and depth of modulated reverb.Level knob controls the ratio of dry to affected wet signal (amount of reverb). LED lit knobs make viewing current settings very easy in a dark environment (switchable on/off). Durable anodised aluminium enclosure to easily withstand the rigors of touring. USB port for updating firmware. 9 V Power jack (no battery connector). Ordering multiple items from us?
